USRider Provides Valuable Prescription Discounts for Members
Lexington, Ky. (June 17, 2009) – In addition to all the valuable emergency roadside assistance benefits USRider provides its Members, the national program now offers prescription discounts through a special arrangement designed to help Members save more money.
“With the cost of everything from a bale of hay to a gallon of gas to a dose of medicine spiraling upward, we were looking for another way to help our Members,” said Mark Cole, managing member for USRider. “We developed the Prescription Drug Savings Card to help our Members save money at the pharmacy and have additional money to spend on more important things – like their equine pursuits.”
The Prescription Drug Savings Card is available at no cost to USRider Members and is accepted at over 54,000 pharmacies nationwide, including mail order service. The card provides savings of up to 15 percent on brand-name drugs and 40 percent or more on generics, even if the prescription costs are fully or partially covered by insurance or Medicare. The card may also provide discounts on drugs not covered by insurance plans.
In addition, USRider’s website provides Members with online resources to help find the best deals on prescriptions. With Comparison Shop, Members can compare the costs of their prescriptions at all participating pharmacies in an area. This feature will also show the cost of generic equivalents to ensure the best deal. When traveling, USRider Members can access On the Go to find participating pharmacies across the country. Members can also access In the Mail to get mail order pricing and ordering information and have their prescriptions mailed directly to them.
Through its Equestrian Motor Plan, USRider offers nationwide roadside assistance especially for equestrians. The plan includes standard features such as flat-tire repair, battery assistance and lockout services, plus towing up to 100 miles and roadside repairs for tow vehicles and trailers with Horses, emergency stabling, veterinary and farrier referrals, and more.
