Equestrian Motor Plan Offers Equine Practitioner Database
Lexington, Ky. (For immediate release) - Traveling with your horses is hard enough. But imagine you are traveling with your horses in an unfamiliar area when your horse becomes sick or injured. Your trusted veterinarian is miles away. Who would you call for assistance?
As a member of USRider, you could count on fast, efficient help with one phone call. USRider, the nationwide roadside assistance program for equestrians, maintains a database of qualified equine practitioners across the nation and Canada. Access to this database is available to USRider members in the lower 48 contiguous United States and 10 provinces of Canada.
In addition to other unique benefits for the traveling equestrian, including emergency stabling referrals, USRider would like to provide a new service to its members: access to trained equine practitioners while traveling.
With the help of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, USRider is constructing the DVM Directory, an electronic database containing contact information for large-animal veterinarians across the nation and Canada. This directory will be available to USRider Member Care Specialists to make referrals when USRider members report equine health emergencies or injuries during their travels. To make this endeavor successful, USRider needs the assistance of equine veterinarians across the nation.
If you are interested in participating in USRider's DVM Directory, please log on to the USRider website at www.usrider.org/dvm or write to USRider Equestrian Motor Plan, PO Box 54711, Lexington, KY 40555.
