An article in the August issue of Practical Horseman contained a blurb about USRider. We appreciate the mention; however, some of the information was incorrect.
While USRider gladly provides emergency roadside assistance, we're not actually an insurance company. Through our Equestrian Motor Plan, we offer nationwide roadside assistance especially for equestrians.
With an annual fee comparable to that of other roadside assistance programs, our unique plan offers more than the typical towing, battery assistance and lockout services. USRider offers towing up to 100 miles and roadside repairs for tow vehicles and trailers with horses, emergency stabling, veterinary and farrier referrals, and special discounts with various equine retailers. Benefits for our members are in full effect, whether the member is towing a horse or traveling with family.
Although we provide benefits related to trailers and tow vehicles, our membership program is for our members. Therefore, we do not require information related to the make and model of a member's tow vehicle or trailer.
The USRider motor plan costs $119 each year for primary members and $79 annually for associate members (such as qualifying spouse or domestic partner and dependent children). New memberships also have a $29 activation fee. This activation fee is waived if an associate membership is added when a primary member joins.
While we currently do not offer coverage for commercial vehicles or commercial usage. However, due to a high level of interest, we are developing commercial membership levels. Be sure to check with us about these new membership levels in the future.
Thank you.
